We are currently in early stage planning for Series Two for the OKA House of Tales podcast — a curiosity-driven podcast series exploring the remarkable relationships people have with their homes.

Being outside and immersed in nature is something we all need to stay grounded. We take this very seriously :) and make regular pre-dawn trips to wild spaces to experience the fresh air and morning soundscape unfolding. From the quiet of night, gradually slipping into the symphony of the early spring dawn chorus.

Big cities around the world all have their own character, but while walking the streets of New York at night after a long day’s recording the evening soundscape was unmistakable - Oh NYC we meet again!

We have been working in collaboration on some Tellori beaker and coffee mug ideas with a local potter. Clean, simple design in terracotta, resulting in an extremely tactile object. We are very tempted to produce a limited run of these wonderful things - watch this space.

Time for some R+D - To keep the inspiration flowing you have to act on project ideas and take the time to test things out and so Mike has been out on the trails (again!), but with a range of miniature microphones attached to the bike to capture both the close up mechanicals and the wider soundscape of the trail.
